New sheriff takes the reins in Lucas County

There’s a new sheriff in town. On January 4, Mike Navarre was sworn in as the new Lucas County sheriff, replacing John Tharp who retired. Sheriff Navarre, left, took the oath of office in front of the historic Peter Navarre Cabin at Toledo Botanical Garden.
