New park commissioners see plans to develop former Marina District

To familiarize the two new Metroparks Toledo commissioners with park activities, the park board provided an update on its newest endeavor–the urban waterfront metropark.

At the January 16 meeting, Scott Savage, board president, welcomed Kevin Dalton and Molly Leutke to the board.

“It’s a new day for the park district. We grew by 40 percent overnight,” he said.

Mr. Savage said the board is pleased to have additional directors, noting it should help Metroparks achieve their vision a little more quickly.
