LaunchPad Incubation seeks area entrepreneurs with innovative ideas

Do you have a new idea for the technological world but are uncertain how to bring the concept to fruition?

If so, the LaunchPad Incubation program at the University of Toledo may be the solution, Brian Genide told members of the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s March 6 meeting.

UT began an incubation program at the beginning of the 21st century, building a program in 2001 that initially focused on solar energy before expanding to fuel cells, biomass energy, hybrid vehicle technologies and wind energy.

In 2010, UT Business Incubation opened the Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex. with space for alternative energy, advanced manufacturing and information technology businesses.

The goal of the program is to provide businesses and start-up alternative energy companies with a place to nurture and grow into stable and growing businesses that enhance the economic vitality of northwest Ohio.
